COLD HEADING QUALITY WIRE (CHQ WIRE)
FOR CHALLENGING APPLICATIONS
In the field of cold heading applications, our wire has a high standard of quality made with the most recent technology.
Cold heading quality (CHQ) wires are commonly used to make critical fasteners. Our CHQ wire has a high standard of quality and technology in the field. Process control begins with strict requirements on chemistry, and continues with tight restrictions on process temperature, production rates and inspection regulations. This enables us to produce consistent properties such as spheroidization levels of 95%, uniform grain sizes, and smooth surfaces.
In accordance with its customers’ specifications, Sivaco manufactures cold heading quality wire intended for the manufacturing of fastening products and automotive products. To ensure compliance with all application requirements, every step of the production process is closely monitored.
Sivaco’s cold heading quality steel wire is ideal for a wide variety of cold heading applications, including:
- bolts
- nuts
- screws
- rivets
- nails
